This is the same powder we use to fill our kosher gelatin capsules. Occasionally we are asked about supplying the Polly Jean Five-Week Antenatal Formula in vegetarian capsules. We do not offer vegetarian capsules at this time. However if you have access to a capsule filler, you could fill your own capsules at home with this loose powder. One 6 oz bag should be enough to fill 400 size “0” capsules, depending on how much you fill them. We tamp and top off twice.

The Polly-Jean Five-Week Antenatal Formula–an herbal combination that gravidas begin taking five weeks prior to the anticipated date of delivery–has been found to be a boon to the home birth movement. It assists in the following ways:

• Much easier labor and delivery.
• Longer and easier labor for women who tend to have precipitous births.
• Shorter and easier labor for women who tend to have long labor.
• Bigger dilation before discomfort arises.
• Minimization of postpartum bleeding when taken in conjunction with the “Good  Program” (the “Good Program” is spelled out in Polly’s Birth Book).
• Shorter periods before lochia stops.

This order is for 6 ounces of loose powder for filling empty capsules on your own. Should be enough to fill about 400 size “O” capsules, depending on how much is packed into each capsule. Each 6 oz pack of loose powder is $38, including S/H within the US. Shipping outside US would be additional $15.
