What is Female Corrective Formula?
As detailed in Polly’s Birth Book Usages:
“This amazing combination of herbs, used widely in the intermountain West, is an excellent female corrective. It aids in rebuilding a malfunctioning reproductive system – the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, etc. Over the years, herbalists and patients have seen painful menstruation, heavy flows, cramping, irregularity, bloating, etc., helped. Most women who’ve used the formula to re-adjust the malfunctioning areas have experienced great improvement and gone on to have pain-free menstrual periods, good menstrual timing, and a better outlook on life. The formula has been used to tame menopausal symptoms and is even helpful in correcting female infertility issues due to hormonal imbalance.”
Polly Block, a midwife, writes in her book
Polly’s Birth Book–Obstetrics for the Home
“Problems connected with female systems can be helped immensely by taking a good combination of herbs designed for that purpose. Such things as amenorrhea, irregularity of menses, excessive flows, and too frequent menses or prolonged menses are particularly helped with a good female corrective. Cramping, swelling, and other discomforts can be eliminated with prolonged use of the female corrective. Add such supplements as vitamins E, B complex, and C to round out the needs created by individual problems, such as the inability to conceive and carry a fetus to term. Although it is said that FREQUENTLY amenorrhea (no menses) or irregular menses are due to the system’s carrying parasites, menstrual regularity can be assisted by using the female corrective following the riddance of parasites.” page 522

More About Polly Block
Polly Block was a widely known and highly respected midwife. Midwives from all over the United States frequently sought her counsel, because of her broad experience with special birthing techniques. She was invited by a scholar from a national foundation to assist in research on birthing customs in different cultures but home obligations prevented her from accepting that honor.
Her special interest was the effect of herbs on pregnancy, labor, and delivery of birthing mothers.
Her special interest was the effect of herbs on pregnancy, labor, and delivery of birthing mothers. She developed an extensive home nursing file, which stressed diet, massage therapy, natural food supplements, and advanced first aid techniques as the basis for preventive health care and home preparedness. She was often invited to share her data with leading researchers and practitioners in the field of home birth.
Polly was an active lecturer on the various techniques and procedures of home delivery. She lectured at a seminar for nurses and midwives at Idaho State University. And of course Polly observed medical doctors and naturopathic physicians in the delivery of hundreds of babies. A native of Texas, Polly made her home in American Fork, Utah in later life and focused efforts on writing. Sadly she passed away in November of 2007.
